Base Oil
The grades of Lubricant Oil obtained from the refinement of Crude Oil is referred to as Base Oil. It is possible to produce bitumen and base oil from the heavier hydrocarbons that are separated during the heating phase of crude oil processing. One may assess whether crude oil is appropriate for conversion into a base oil by looking at its base oil content and how easy it is to extract the molecules.
Application
Base oils is used to make metal processing fluids, motor oil, and lubricating greases. Different products require different qualities and compositions of oil. The mix and characteristics of oil must vary depending on the product. Among the most significant elements is the liquid’s viscosity at different temperatures.
